The European Heart Agency was opened two years ago as the Brussels office of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and is located in the centre of the city close to the European Commission. European Commission finally led to the publication in February of the report The European Heart Health Initiative.2 This report recommended a three-phase initiative to achieve a true European CVD prevention programme.
